A classic example of how our knowledge and skills can overcome the most challenging of projects.
15 FLOOR HIGH RISE APARTMENT BLOCK ~ 3458 MAIN BEACH PARADE, SURFERS PARADISE
Built in the late 1970’s this beachfront building suffered severe concrete cancer and spalling issues. The building had not been maintained appropriately for decades. It was in such a poor state there were chunks of concrete falling onto the footpaths below and was subsequently almost de-commissioned by engineers.
The problem
Like many other of the projects we remediate, we were the only company that would even consider putting our hand up for this one.
This job was challenging due to the shape of the concrete that had to be remediated. 90% of all of the repairs on this building were a corrugated profile. Therefore, our carpenters had to build special moulds to shape each repair. Additionally, they had to complete all of this out of a swinging stage as scaffolding was not an option due to the expense.
The project took over a year with almost 100m² of concrete cancer repairs. We highly suggest watching the video of this project as this job was truly unique and extremely challenging.
This project defines what our business is about. We will take on any job. We are constantly learning and thrive on undertaking such jobs.
